Girls Inc. of Jacksonville is thankful for the many donors and supporters in the community who have stepped up to champion girls rights in Northeast Florida. Through sponsorships, donations and time, these advocates have tirelessly helped create a cooperative spirit of inspiring strong, smart and bold girls.
“We are exceedingly fortunate to be bolstered by individuals and companies who share our mission of strengthening the character and resolve of local girls,” said Laura L. Lasko, CEO of Girls Inc. of Jacksonville. “As the holidays approach, it is a wonderful time for all of us to reflect and appreciate those who have made our job possible.”
Girls Inc. of Jacksonville focuses on underserved areas in Jacksonville. It serves more than 1,700 girls every year through after school, summer camps, and outreach programs that build self-confidence, self-esteem and help girls make better life decisions. Every day girls in this community face the burdens of illiteracy, teen pregnancy, violence, abuse and economic and social stereotypes. Girls Inc. of Jacksonville inspires all girls to be strong with solid values; smart with the skills and knowledge it takes to succeed; and bold with the self confidence and leadership to realize their greatest potential.
