About Amanda

Amanda Padgett serves as the Director of Development for Girls Inc. of Jacksonville. Prior to taking on this role, she served as the Interim Executive Director for the Tallahassee Community Chorus and the Patron Services Director for the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra.

Amanda is a graduate of the University of North Florida with a Bachelor’s of Science in Communications including a specialization in Public Relations and a minor in Photography. While at UNF, Amanda had the opportunity to be a Public Relations Intern at the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra. This internship opened her eyes to the world behind the curtain and spurred a dream to have a future within a non-profit organization.

Amanda has education and experience working in photography and has applied her eye to detail in many engagements, including the Jacksonville and Tallahassee Symphonies, graphic design and social media management.

During her professional career, Amanda has experience in both the non-profit and commercial sectors, giving her a head for business with a heart to better the community around her. She has held positions in which she has gained a vast wealth of knowledge in non-profit organizational management, awareness campaigns, marketing and event planning.

Amanda holds a board position with the First Coast Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals as their social media chair. She is also a 2018 Stein Fellow with United Way and a Big Brothers, Big Sisters mentor. She is passionate about leaving a place better than when she arrived and strives to enact this every day in the Jacksonville community.
