Rachel Graduated from the University of Florida with a major in Family, Youth and Community Science. Rachel has returned to the University of Florida to become certified as a Family Life Educator.
Rachel started with Girls Inc. in 2012 as an intern in the Girls Inc. Outreach Program, now called The Girls Identity Program. After her internship was completed, she was offered a part-time facilitator position in the GirlSMART Program where she developed her love for writing intentional and strong, smart and bold lesson plans.
Her love, pride and commitment to the program, the students and vision of the program has grown as much as the program has grown in the last 2 and a half years. She became Program Assistant in 2014, where her organization and knowledge of the internal workings of the program increased exponentially.
In 2015, she was asked to transition to 1st and 2nd Grade Level Director.
She enjoys the challenges of writing lesson plans, managing seven staff members, students, and site management, because the mission, vision and success of Girls Inc. is what drives her success.
