HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM
Girls Inc. of Jacksonville High School Program
Girls Inc. of Jacksonville’s High School Program is a weekly, after-school program hosted at our partner schools. Throughout the school year, girls participate in our research-based programming focused on our core values of Strong, Smart, and Bold. Girls also receive structured programming in Social Emotional Learning, healthy sexuality, civic duty, and career and college readiness.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Emotional Intelligence—School-Connect
Optimizes social, academic and emotional learning, self-awareness and management. Develops assertive communication and conflict resolution skills.
Girls enCourage
Builds movement and athletic skills, cooperation and competitive spirit, health awareness and interest in sports. Opportunities to participate in non-traditional sports.
Taking Charge – Healthy Sexuality
Encourages girls to take charge of their health, growth, sexuality and peer-relationships in a safe and educated way. Builds healthy relationships between girls, their health and their bodies.
She Votes
Begins life-long voting habits and encourages education in both local and national governments. Facilitates discussion and communication about citizenship and civic duty.
